The Yom Kippur evening prayer, Hinei b’Yad haYotzer, describes the relationship between different craftsmen and their creations, as metaphors for the relationship between Hashem and the Jewish people. On the Wednesday before Yom Kippur, girls in our middle school, and in the 4th and 5th grades, explored this relationship through creative dance and movement, as facilitated by Mrs. Shula Strassfeld, dance educator from the Dance Exchange. The artistic exercises also stimulated discussion among the middle school girls about trust and faith between people as well.
