Are your products kosher?

All of our products are deemed kosher and pareve under the supervision of the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington (The Va’ad).

How will I receive my order?

Orders will be individually packaged at the bakery and delivered to your school on Friday morning. Your PTO will take care of distributing the packages to your child’s classroom.

Will it be too much for my child to carry?

Probably not. The largest subscription (Shabbat with a Crowd) will still fit into a paper grocery bag. Carrying the bag may be challenging for the smallest children, but they will be so excited to be bringing home such yummy treats that they will rise to the occasion or maybe a friend can help.

How many months will it last?

The Club functions throughout the school year, excluding the month of June; 9 months in total.

What will be in the order each month?

We will vary the contents of your package each month, including seasonal items when appropriate. One month you may receive chocolate chip cookies, sugar sunflowers, oatmeal raisin and ginger. The next month you may receive chocolate crinkles, chocolate chewies, sprinkles and a mix of Chanukah sugar cookies.

How will it be packaged?

Cookies, cupcakes and bars will be packed in white bakery boxes. Most of our cakes are baked in 8” rings; some come as a loaf.

Will I receive the same order each month?

No. We will vary the contents of your order each month. Although constantly evolving, our menu is limited, so there will likely be repeats of your favorites.

Can I change my subscription mid-year?

Yes, you may increase or decrease the size of your subscription. 

Can I cancel my subscription once it has started?

We do require a commitment of at least three months. If, after that trial period you do not wish to continue, we will refund the remainder of your subscription fee.

Can I customize my monthly order?

No. Part of the fun of the Sweets of the Month Club is anticipating which treats you will receive each month. However, if you would like to add to your order, (birthday cupcakes for a class celebration, a celebration cake for the family or additional dessert for Shabbat dinner, for example) you may do so through our website, www. We can deliver these additions with your regular subscription. .sunflowerbakery.org

Are your products nut-free?

Some of our products contain nuts. At www.sunflowerbakery.org, products containing nuts are marked with an “*.” We take care to separate products with nuts from nut-free items. However, tree nuts (e.g. pecans, almonds and walnuts) are used in some products.

Are you peanut-free?

There are NO peanuts or peanut products allowed in the bakery.

Can I order at other times of the month?

Yes, you may place other orders through our website, www.sunflowerbakery.org, at any time of the year, except during Passover. 

Can you deliver to my school at other times of the month?

Delivery to your school will be on the monthly date designated by your PTO. If there is sufficient interest, we may consider adding an additional delivery.

Can I place my order online?

Your Sweets of the Month subscription form must be submitted through your school program. You may place additional orders online.
