PTO

Dear Berman Families,

Welcome back to school! I’m thrilled to serve as the PTO/Vaad Horim President this year, and I look forward to getting to know each of you and helping you get involved in the school.

Many of you know the PTO through our fundraising activities or through the programs that we financially support at school. Providing these extras is important to us, but our work goes well beyond raising money.  One of our key missions is to promote an environment at school where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning. We’re always eager to find more great people, like you, to help us meet this goal.

Dues now include gifts to teachers. Click here to pay the PTO DUES.

New this year, we are including gifts to the teachers in the dues. We have received feedback from parents that they would like to have an all in one dues structure that included gifts, so you will not be asked to contribute towards teacher gifts during the year.

Let’s all get to know each other better!

This year we are also placing a major focus on community building. We plan to hold several social programs for parents and families, so we can get to know each other better in fun settings.

Get involved and volunteer on your schedule

Volunteering doesn’t need to be a huge time commitment.  An hour can be a big help, and we have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a social program, classroom help or a particular fundraiser interests you and when you might be free to help. (You don’t even have to come to the school or attend a meeting to be involved, although we’d really like to meet you personally!) Involvement with the school also makes it easier to establish friendships with teachers and other parents. We promise that the time you give to the PTO and the school will be worth your while—and fun!

Share your ideas

Please call or e-mail me with any questions or ideas you have about the PTO. Together, we can make a difference at our school! I can be reached via email at shanasiesser@gmailcom.

Sincerely,

Shana Siesser,
PTO President
