Mishloach Manot 2011 - 5771

Thank you to everyone who participated in the MJBHA Mishloach Manot program- by many accounts, it was our best year ever! 

Here are some statistics you might find interesting:

·       Over 100 volunteers packed 1080 mishloach manot baskets

·       Over 60,900 personal greetings were sent

·       $4,700 was collected for charitable organizations here and in Israel

·       44 drivers delivered baskets throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia

·       Significant dollars were raised to help fund the MJBHA athletic program and all kinds of extracurricular activities for our 720 students

·       10 students designed Purim cards that were sent to over 1000 recipients

Yasher koach to everyone who helped made this year such a success! Special thanks to Barbra Jaffe, Tamar Teitelbaum, Hope Taragin and Sharon Kushnir who spent hours selecting the items to include.

Some people participate because they like to see what the contents of the basket will be each year. Some participate because they want to shower their friends and neighbors with special treats (for only $2.50 per name). And some people participate because they know how important it is to help support the athletic program and extracurricular activities of one of the largest and most vibrant Modern Orthodox schools in the country.
