MJBHA Alumna in Action
make us very proud and represent the school as the mentschlicht alumni that they are. We recently received a note from the Sandhedria Children’s Home in Jerusalem where two of our class of 2010 alumni are working and wanted to share the note that the person in charge of the program wrote. These are the words of Miriam Braun:
This year we are blessed to have Yoni Kozlowski thru Eretz Hatzvi and Sara Lamar via Midreshet Harova. Yoni is part of a team that visits the kids Monday evenings for a sports hour. Yoni and his contemporaries are so successful and well liked that we expanded the program to include the volunteer’s participation at bar mitzva parties and other special events.
Sara Lamar is the crème de la crème among the girls program. She is a warm, caring, dedicated and bright young woman who is a delightful presence in our children's orbit.
The Sanhedria Children's Home in Jerusalem is a residential, rehabilitation center for very disadvantaged children who suffered severe emotional and/or physical abuse and neglect in their early childhood. Sanhedria has an array of chesed activities with the cooperation of yeshivot and midrashot who send their finest students our way to be older brother and sister role models to these children.
