Mishmar Program

Mishmar is an opportunity for students to spend extra time learning as well as an opportunity to strengthen their relationship with a member of the Judaic faculty. The Middle School takes pride in sponsoring the program for grades 6-8. Additionally, Mishmar satisfies the extra learning obligation for students who wish to participate in any MJBHA sponsored sports program.

Mishmar is scheduled on alternating Thursdays during the 2008-2009 school year. Sessions begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. and end at 5:25 p.m. The cost of $50.00 for the year includes pizza and juice which is served to all participating students in the cafeteria.

In addition, we also offer to grades 6-8 our Beit Midrash program. On Wednesdays, students have the opportunity to learn extra Talmud with a member of the Judaic faculty. This program begins at 4:35 p.m. and ends at 5:20 p.m. Please contact the Middle School office, 301-962-9400, ext. 5217,  if you are interested in either program.
